CLEANING INSTRUCTION for ROLLER SHUTTER
1. Remove Dust And Debris
First, it’s best to wipe away dust and debris from your roller shutters. This step is especially important if your roller shutters are painted, because tiny dust and dirt particles can be very abrasive, and cause scratches if they are not removed before you start to clean the shutters.
This step is also important for a proper clean, as it ensures that dust and dirt do not run down the shutter once they’re wet, where they can lodge in cracks and crevices, and be difficult to remove.
You can use a clean, soft microfiber cloth or rag, an old t-shirt, or a product such as a Swiffer Duster. Just make sure you remove the bulk of the dust, dirt, and debris before continuing to the next step.
2. Wipe Down The Surface With Warm Water And A Mild Detergent
To loosen debris, stains, and dirt, mix a mild detergent, like dish soap, with warm water. Then, using a clean cloth, wipe the entire surface of your roller shutters. Do not miss any spots. Use moderate pressure, and scrub away any serious stains or spots where there is a lot of dirt or debris.
Next, go over the entire surface again. Spray it with more detergent and water, and use an up-and-down motion to wipe the shutters. Do not go side-to-side, as this can cause the shutters to become misaligned.
3. Spray The Surface And Clean The Guides With A Soft Brush
Next, you need to clean between the shutter guides. First, use a soft brush to gently clean the guides, dislodging any dust, lint, or debris. Once you’ve completed this step, you can wipe down the guides using warm water. Make sure to allow the guides to dry completely before you lower the shade again.
4. Wipe Down The Surface With Clean Water, Then Dry it
Finally, use clean water that’s free of debris or soap to wipe down the exterior and interior surface of your roller shutters. This will remove any debris and dust that might remain.
After this, use a clean microfiber towel or cloth to wipe down the entire surface. This will remove any remaining impurities and dirt, and remove moisture, which prevents dust and dirt from settling on your newly-cleaned shutters.

I contacted Oz Roller Shutters to get two north facing window shutters, around 2x2 meters, as a neighbour had used them a few years ago.

Installation occured even earlier than indicated, which was amazing. The shutters were installed extremely well, look great, function well and again Sam was great to deal with.

Sam and the team were accomodating to our needs. We were able to automate an old manually operated shutter which gave it longevity and avoided the need to change the entire unit. We used Oz Roller Shutters in December 2020 to install 14 shutters. It was one of the best decisions we made with regard to our home. Having our first level balcony facing the west where the suns sets we suffered for a couple of years from rain and heat hitting our glass windows and glass sliding doors. Even though we had refrigerated cooling it was still very warm in the house because of the heat from the sun. When it would rain it would be terrible. Everything on the balcony would be soaked and the floor would be wet and slippery. None of the above happens now. Our house stays cool in summer and warmer in winter without using the central heating as much.

We also had them installed on the ground level which makes us feel very safe. Pretty difficult for an intruder to come in when these heavy duty roller shutters are down. We cannot praise Sam Navi and their crew enough. They are so polite and willing to go that bit extra to make you happy. The reason I am writing this review so long after install is because we had another shutter installed recently and completely forgot to write a review after the initial install. We believe they look great but that's our opinion. They also have this great tool on their website where you are able to calculate how much it will cost you. I called other companies but found Oz Roller Shutters were much more competitive and consultative. Highly recommended.
We chose black surroundings because our window frames are black but you can choose whatever you like.
