    TERMS AND CONDITIONS FOR GOODS SOLD BY OZ ROLLER SHUTTERS PTY LTD FROM www.ozrollershutters.com.au

    Effective Date: 2026

    These Terms, Conditions, Warranty, Returns, Shipping and Privacy Policy apply to all quotations, tax invoices, sales, installations, repairs, maintenance services, service call-outs, website purchases, deliveries, products, materials and transactions undertaken by OZ Roller Shutters Pty Ltd (ACN 616 915 612) (“OZ Roller Shutters”, “we”, “our” or “us”).

    By accepting any quotation, tax invoice, installation, repair, maintenance service, website purchase, delivery, service attendance or product supplied by OZ Roller Shutters, the customer (“you” or “your”) acknowledges and agrees to these Terms and Conditions in full.

    Nothing in these Terms and Conditions excludes, restricts or modifies any rights, guarantees, remedies or protections available to customers under the Australian Consumer Law where such rights cannot lawfully be excluded.

    1. GENERAL

    These Terms apply to:

    • roller shutters,
    • security doors,
    • outdoor blinds,
    • motors,
    • remote controls,
    • switches,
    • accessories,
    • repairs,
    • installations,
    • online sales,
    • warranty claims,
    • maintenance work,
    • and service attendance.

    OZ Roller Shutters may update these Terms at any time. The Terms published on our website at the time of quotation acceptance, payment, installation, service attendance or purchase will apply.

    2. QUOTATIONS

    All quotations are valid for thirty (30) days unless otherwise stated in writing.

    Quotations are based on:

    • visible site conditions,
    • measurements available at inspection,
    • customer-provided information,
    • standard installation assumptions,
    • supplier pricing,
    • and product availability.

    Additional charges may apply where:

    • site conditions differ,
    • measurements change,
    • structural defects exist,
    • electrical works are required,
    • access difficulties arise,
    • additional labour is required,
    • additional materials are required,
    • third-party trades are required,
    • or additional works are requested by the customer.

    Verbal discussions, estimates or representations do not vary these Terms unless confirmed by OZ Roller Shutters in writing.

    3. DEPOSITS, PAYMENTS & OWNERSHIP

    A deposit may be required before manufacture, ordering, scheduling, delivery or installation.

    Final payment is due immediately upon completion of installation or service unless otherwise agreed in writing.

    All prices are in Australian dollars and include GST unless otherwise stated.

    Late or unpaid invoices may result in:

    • suspension of warranty obligations,
    • refusal of service attendance,
    • cancellation of future bookings,
    • debt recovery action,
    • legal recovery costs,
    • administration fees,
    • interest charges,
    • and recovery expenses.

    All goods remain the property of OZ Roller Shutters until paid for in full. OZ Roller Shutters reserves the right to withhold products, suspend installation, refuse warranty attendance or refuse further service where accounts remain unpaid.

    4. INSTALLATION TERMS

    The customer is responsible for ensuring:

    • safe and unobstructed access to the property,
    • suitable structural surfaces for installation,
    • accurate information regarding the site,
    • legal approvals where required,
    • adequate electrical supply where required,
    • pets and children are kept away from work areas,
    • vehicles, furniture and obstructions are removed,
    • and installation areas are clear and accessible.

    The customer acknowledges that installation may involve:

    • drilling,
    • cutting,
    • fixing,
    • silicone application,
    • electrical connection,
    • patching,
    • brackets,
    • fasteners,
    • ladders,
    • tools,
    • and minor cosmetic disturbance.

    Minor cosmetic effects may occur during standard installation, including:

    • plaster cracking,
    • render marks,
    • brick chipping,
    • paint disturbance,
    • silicone visibility,
    • screw holes,
    • texture variation,
    • alignment tolerances,
    • dust,
    • and touch-up requirements.

    These minor cosmetic effects are not considered defects unless caused by proven negligence.

    OZ Roller Shutters is not responsible for:

    • concealed wiring,
    • hidden pipes,
    • asbestos,
    • unstable render,
    • weak brickwork,
    • rotten timber,
    • termite damage,
    • structural movement,
    • pre-existing cracking,
    • water ingress,
    • existing electrical faults,
    • uneven walls,
    • poor building condition,
    • or hidden property defects.

    Installation dates and completion timeframes are estimates only and may change due to weather, supplier delays, freight delays, manufacturing delays, illness, labour availability, power outages, access restrictions, third-party trades or circumstances beyond our control.

    5. ELECTRICAL WORKS

    Where electrical work is required, it must be carried out by a licensed electrician where required by law.

    OZ Roller Shutters is not responsible for:

    • existing electrical faults,
    • inadequate power supply,
    • switchboard issues,
    • tripping circuits,
    • power surges,
    • faulty wiring,
    • third-party electrical work,
    • or damage caused by electrical supply problems.

    Power points, isolation switches, wiring access or electrical upgrades may incur additional charges unless expressly included in the quotation.

    6. WARRANTY POLICY

    6.1 Labour Warranty

    OZ Roller Shutters provides a Twelve (12) Month Labour Warranty from the original installation date.

    The labour warranty applies only to workmanship defects directly arising from installation work carried out by OZ Roller Shutters.

    After expiry of the 12-month labour warranty period, all service attendance becomes chargeable, including:

    • call-outs,
    • inspections,
    • diagnostics,
    • fault finding,
    • repairs,
    • adjustments,
    • remote programming,
    • remote syncing,
    • motor resets,
    • maintenance visits,
    • emergency attendance,
    • and site visits.

    Labour charges apply even where replacement parts remain covered under manufacturer warranty.

    Minimum call-out fees and labour charges apply to all service attendance after the 12-month labour warranty period.

    6.2 Manufacturer Warranty

    Manufacturer warranties apply to replacement parts and components only unless expressly stated otherwise in writing.

    Typical warranty periods may include:

    • Aluminium Slats, Axles and Bottom Rails – up to 15 years,
    • 240 Volt Motors – up to 5 years,
    • Remote Controls and Accessories – up to 1 year,
    • Spring Fasteners and minor accessories – up to 1 year.

    Warranty periods may vary depending on manufacturer specifications, product type, model and supplier terms.

    Manufacturer warranty does not include:

    • labour,
    • travel,
    • call-out fees,
    • diagnostics,
    • programming,
    • reprogramming,
    • remote syncing,
    • adjustment,
    • maintenance,
    • reinstallation,
    • removal,
    • freight,
    • battery replacement,
    • or associated service costs.

    6.3 Warranty Conditions

    Warranty claims require proof of purchase.

    Warranty applies only to the original installation address and original purchaser unless otherwise agreed in writing.

    Warranty is not transferable unless approved by OZ Roller Shutters in writing.

    Warranty may be refused if:

    • invoices remain unpaid,
    • products are modified,
    • wiring is cut or altered,
    • products are dismantled,
    • non-genuine parts are installed,
    • unauthorised repairs occur,
    • third-party interference occurs,
    • the product is relocated,
    • the product is misused,
    • maintenance is neglected,
    • or the product continues to be operated after a fault becomes apparent.

    6.4 Warranty Exclusions

    Warranty does not cover:

    • accidental damage,
    • impact damage,
    • attempted break-ins,
    • misuse,
    • negligence,
    • forced operation,
    • storm damage,
    • wind damage,
    • hail damage,
    • flood damage,
    • fire damage,
    • lightning damage,
    • water damage,
    • power surges,
    • electrical faults,
    • vermin damage,
    • insect damage,
    • corrosion,
    • coastal rusting,
    • salt exposure,
    • tree sap,
    • bird droppings,
    • dirt or debris build-up,
    • scratches,
    • dents,
    • fading,
    • discolouration,
    • cosmetic deterioration,
    • normal wear and tear,
    • remote battery replacement,
    • lost remote controls,
    • user programming errors,
    • internet or network issues,
    • remote range issues,
    • building movement,
    • shifting foundations,
    • structural defects,
    • or circumstances beyond the control of OZ Roller Shutters.

    Noise, vibration or movement caused by normal operation, lack of maintenance, debris, friction, environmental exposure, age, or wear and tear is not considered a warranty defect.

    Water ingress caused by building condition, existing leaks, structural movement, extreme weather or incorrect use is not covered by warranty.

    6.5 Customer Maintenance Responsibilities

    The customer is responsible for:

    • keeping tracks clean,
    • removing debris,
    • ensuring shutters are not obstructed,
    • replacing remote batteries,
    • checking for unusual noises or movement,
    • avoiding forced operation,
    • and arranging maintenance where required.

    The customer must stop operating the product immediately if:

    • the shutter jams,
    • movement becomes restricted,
    • unusual noise occurs,
    • the motor strains,
    • tracks become obstructed,
    • slats are damaged,
    • or any fault becomes apparent.

    Continuing to operate a faulty shutter may cause additional damage and may void warranty coverage.

    7. SERVICE, REPAIRS & CALL-OUTS

    All non-warranty repairs, maintenance and service work are chargeable.

    OZ Roller Shutters may charge:

    • minimum call-out fees,
    • labour fees,
    • diagnostic fees,
    • travel fees,
    • emergency attendance fees,
    • after-hours fees,
    • regional surcharges,
    • freight costs,
    • and replacement part costs.

    Service attendance may be refused where:

    • accounts remain unpaid,
    • access is unavailable,
    • unsafe conditions exist,
    • products have been altered by third parties,
    • aggressive or abusive behaviour occurs,
    • or the requested work is outside OZ Roller Shutters’ scope.

    Emergency or urgent attendance is not guaranteed.

    8. CANCELLATIONS, RETURNS & REFUNDS

    Custom-made, made-to-measure, special-order or installed products cannot be cancelled, returned, exchanged or refunded once manufacturing, ordering, scheduling or installation preparation has commenced, except where required under Australian Consumer Law.

    Deposits for custom-made or special-order products may be non-refundable.

    Returns will not be accepted for:

    • change of mind,
    • incorrect customer measurements,
    • customer ordering errors,
    • colour preference,
    • minor colour variation,
    • modified products,
    • altered wiring,
    • cut motor cables,
    • damaged packaging only,
    • or products damaged after delivery or installation.

    Customers must inspect goods as soon as possible after delivery or installation and notify OZ Roller Shutters of any issue within a reasonable timeframe.

    Refunds, repairs or replacements will be handled in accordance with Australian Consumer Law.

    9. SHIPPING & DELIVERY

    OZ Roller Shutters mainly supplies to Australian addresses.

    Delivery timeframes are estimates only and are not guaranteed.

    Delivery charges may depend on:

    • product size,
    • weight,
    • packaging,
    • delivery method,
    • number of shipments,
    • regional location,
    • and special handling requirements.

    Additional charges may apply for:

    • regional areas,
    • difficult access,
    • oversized freight,
    • re-delivery,
    • address changes,
    • international delivery,
    • or remote locations.

    OZ Roller Shutters is not liable for delays caused by:

    • freight providers,
    • supplier shortages,
    • manufacturing delays,
    • stock availability,
    • weather events,
    • public holidays,
    • industrial action,
    • customs delays,
    • road closures,
    • or circumstances beyond our control.

    Risk in goods passes to the customer upon delivery.

    10. ONLINE STORE PURCHASES

    Products purchased through the website remain subject to availability, supplier stock, order verification and payment clearance.

    OZ Roller Shutters may refuse, cancel or amend orders where:

    • products are unavailable,
    • pricing errors occur,
    • product descriptions contain errors,
    • payment is declined,
    • fraud checks fail,
    • shipping is unavailable,
    • or orders are commercially unreasonable.

    Product images, colours, finishes, measurements and specifications are indicative only and may vary slightly from supplied products.

    11. CUSTOMER RESPONSIBILITIES

    The customer agrees to:

    • provide accurate information,
    • provide safe access,
    • disclose known site issues,
    • obtain approvals where required,
    • make payment when due,
    • use products correctly,
    • maintain products reasonably,
    • avoid unauthorised repairs,
    • and report issues promptly.

    The customer must not:

    • force shutters open or closed,
    • obstruct shutters,
    • cut wiring,
    • dismantle motors,
    • modify products,
    • allow unqualified persons to repair products,
    • continue using faulty products,
    • or interfere with installed components.

    Failure to follow these responsibilities may result in warranty being refused.

    12. LIMITATION OF LIABILITY

    To the maximum extent permitted by law, OZ Roller Shutters is not liable for:

    • indirect loss,
    • consequential loss,
    • loss of income,
    • loss of profits,
    • business interruption,
    • inconvenience,
    • emotional distress,
    • accommodation costs,
    • third-party repair costs,
    • delays,
    • loss of use,
    • property damage caused by pre-existing defects,
    • or damage arising from misuse, weather events, electrical faults, structural movement or circumstances beyond our control.

    Where liability cannot be excluded, liability is limited to the maximum extent permitted by law.

    Nothing in these Terms excludes rights under the Australian Consumer Law.

    13. PRIVACY POLICY

    OZ Roller Shutters may collect personal information including:

    • phone numbers,

    Customers must not arrange third-party repairs and then seek reimbursement without prior written approval from OZ Roller Shutters, except where required by law.

    Abusive, threatening or aggressive behaviour may result in refusal of service.

    16. GOVERNING LAW

    These Terms are governed by the laws of Victoria, Australia.

    Any disputes arising from products or services supplied by OZ Roller Shutters are subject to the jurisdiction of Victorian courts and tribunals.

    17. CUSTOMER ACKNOWLEDGEMENT

    By accepting any quotation, invoice, installation, repair, maintenance service, website purchase, delivery, service attendance or product supplied by OZ Roller Shutters, the customer confirms they have read, understood and agreed to these Terms and Conditions.
